Bio:

Dusty West was born and raised in Vilonia, Arkansas, a small but vibrant town that offered him plenty of opportunities to explore his passions from a young age. Growing up, he developed a love for the outdoors—whether it was hunting, fishing, or simply being in nature, he always felt at home under the open sky. West also grew up playing and loving sports, which has become a significant part of his life.

Upon graduating from UCA, he began his career as a teacher and coach, a role that has now spanned 14 years. For the past 9 years, West had the privilege of serving as the head softball coach at Heber Springs. Coaching is more than just teaching a sport to him—it’s about developing character, instilling values like discipline and perseverance, and creating a lasting impact on the lives of his players.

Outside of work, he is a devoted husband and father. His wife Ashlie has been his rock throughout their journey, and together, they are raising two wonderful children. His family is his greatest joy, and they love spending time together, especially when it involves outdoor adventures or simply enjoying life in their small Arkansas community.

As he continues in his career, his goals remain the same: to inspire his students, lead his teams with integrity, and always strive to grow both as an educator and a person. Coaching and teaching are his passion, and he is grateful every day for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the next generation.
