Bio:


Boomer Brown is in his 32nd year of coaching. Boomer’s primary sport for the beginning of his career was football. As defensive coordinator for many years, Boomer was part of numerous district championships and playoff appearances in Arkansas and Louisiana. The highlights of his football career  was being  part of three state championships at Nashville High School. 


It did not take long for softball to become his primary sport  Nashville has become one of the must consistent softball programs in the state when it comes to deep state tournament runs. The Scrapperettes have only missed two state tournament appearances since  the switch to fast pitch in 2000 (00 and 06). Nashville has won state titles in 2010, 2012, and 2013 and finished Runner-ups in 2017 and 2022.  Boomer made the switch to coaching softball only during the 2021 season. He has led the Scrapperettes to three Regional Championships and to no less than Quarterfinals of the state tournament the last four years. 

The Hope native and SAU alum is married to Annette Brown who is employed by the Magnet Cove  School District. Their daughter, Hailey, is in the sixth grade at Magnet Cove. The Browns live in Arkadelphia.
