The Diamond of Ethics of AHSFCA Membership

Respect, Integrity, Commitment and Sportsmanship: these serve as the pillars of ethics for the AHSFCA.  These principles govern the expectations on how AHSFCA members are to speak, write and act at all times, on and off the field.

RESPECT: We will show respect to our colleagues, our student-athletes, our umpires, our parents, our school, our community, our opponents, and the game.  Respect is demonstrated in how we act and interact with others, how we coach, the words we use and how we say them.  This means we treat others and the game with the highest regard.

INTEGRITY: We follow the rules and the spirit of the game that governs our sport and the law.  We value and believe in honesty, high character, and integrity.  Our relationships surrounding the sport, on and off the field, is rooted in truthfulness and the intent to do no harm to others or the sport.

COMMITMENT: We are committed to being the best versions of ourselves as coaches. We are students and teachers of the game, striving to further the game by learning, sharing and growing in knowledge for the betterment of softball and all involved in it.  We strive for safety with all involved in the game: umpires, fans, players, coaches, and support staff.

SPORTSMANSHIP: We hold ourselves to the highest standard of sportsmanship. While we coach, cheer, and discuss the game with great enthusiasm and passion , we also recognize we should do this as professional and courtesy.  We are the guardians of this game and we act accordingly.
